I have always wanted to do something creative that I could share with others and provide something that would bring happiness and be treasured. With photography, I have found that.

My preferred venue has been DogSport Photography with sporting events of all kinds.  You can see examples of my work at my original and main Photography site:  MaxDogPhotos.   I’ve had the good fortune to be published both nationally and internationally with my Dog Photography.

But, I’ve also had the opportunity to do other types of photography and am really enjoying all I can learn and experiment with.   These photos I am putting together at my Howard George Photography site–a place where I can  share my non-dog sport photography.  This blog is an outgrowth of that site and a place where I can do more than just post photos but also share experiences, tips and whatever else might be of interest.

For those of you who are curious, all my photography is shot with Nikon products.  My main camera that I use is a D2x, designed for great results.  I also, at times, use a D200 and D2hs.

Lenses I use are a Nikkor 24-120mm, and a Sigma 70-200 1:2.8 with Macro.  I also at times use a Sigma 1.4x teleconverter, and for flash needs, a Nikon SB-800 Speedlight.

All my photography is done in RAW format and processed with Adobe Photoshop.
